If you have been looking forward to making your chicken stack a little different, then this recipe for Orange Glazed Chicken Wings should do the trick.
Recipe for 10 servings:
1 cup orange juice
2 small oranges (with the peeled bark)
2 cloves garlic (chopped)
½ teaspoon dried thyme (crumbled)
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 teaspoons mustard (dijon)
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
12 chicken wings
Salt, pepper and seasoning to taste
Get a saucepan, combine the orange juice, peeled orange bark, garlic, thyme, vinegar, mustard, sugar and cornstarch, together. Boil over a moderate heat whisking occasionally. Simmer the mixture, stir until lightly thickened and remove from heat. Heat the broiler and arrange the chicken wings on the broiler pan. Broil on each side, seasoning until thoroughly cooked. Remove to platter and serve with orange juice.
