The New African Development Bank President, Doctor. Akinwumi Adesina, has promised to make power supply, food security and agricultural sector development his major priorities in Africa.
Adesina said this on at the send forth ceremony held in his honour by the management of Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development in Abuja at the weekend.
The former Minister explained that Africa would become a global power house in food and agriculture, assuring that the continent would be green in his tenure.
He disclosed his readiness to build an Africa with shared prosperity, where peace and stability reigns, maintaining that “poverty cannot be a comparative advantage in Africa”, adding that his election as AfDB President is a call to serve and responsibility to lead Africa.
He however commended the former President Goodluck Jonathan, President Muhammadu Buhari and Nigerians for their support towards his election.
