Weekend Recipe: How To Make Fresh Fish Pepper-soup Yourself

The weekend comes with a lot of relaxation, and while we would sometimes love to have our relaxation indoors, we sometimes have to go out to get tasty meals with our family and friends. Pepper-soup is a main stay for relaxation spots and hangouts, but affording this soup is usually expensive especially during the rainy season. Here we’ll tell you how to make this amazing dish right from the comfort of your kitchen.

Fresh fish pepper soup

Recipe for 3 servings:

½ kilogram fresh fish

1 medium size onion

2 heaped teaspoons pepper (ground)

2 tablespoons crayfish (ground)

Salt and seasonings to taste

1 tablespoon odusa (local spice finely grounded)

1 teaspoon each of other ground pepper soup ingredients [uziza, uda,and ushausha]

Preparation:

Wash and clean the fresh fish. Pour some water into a saucepan. Add the ground pepper, crayfish and onion. Allow to boil for 15 minutes. Add the seasonings and continue boiling. Stir in the salt, then add the fish. Cover and cook for 25 minutes. Add the odusa and other spices. Cook for 5 minutes. Serve on boiled or pounded yam or serve any one whohas lost appetite as a result of illness.
