Reuter in its recent report by Isaac Anyaogu has declared that insecurity and rising costs of commodities are pushing 31 million Nigerians into acute food shortage.
Citing a study by several of the country’s international development partners, the report stressed that more than 31.8 million Nigerians are acutely short of food due to the security challenges bedevilling the nation and the removal of fuel subsidies by the federal government.
The Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning said in a statement that the scale of the shortages, have led to malnutrition among women and children.
